Don't argue with reality

We believe that if we accept the conditions and experiences we don't like, it means we approve of them, and that once we approve of them, we are doomed to being slaves of those conditions.

But resistance (As Byron Katie calls it 'arguing with reality') takes more energy than acceptance. And energy is fuel. So when we resist what we don't like, we are fueling what we don't like.

Acceptance is not a passive resignation, it's an acknowledgment of reality.

Acceptance is not saying "More of this please!" It is saying, "This is here. What do I want my relationship and attitude towards it to be and do I want to do something about it?"

Think about where in your life you might be arguing with reality and how it could serve you to accept it instead.
