Excited While Uncertain
Allow yourself to be excited about something that’s not certain.
What is so unbearable about the potential of disappointment that we won’t allow ourselves excitement and joy unless it’s tied to certainty?
When you try to protect yourself from every potential disappointment, you’re pushing away excitement.
Note to Self
Don’t borrow time from the present moment to create suffering for yourself.
We dwell in the past, regret our ‘bad’ choices, replay painful events, or escape into the future.
Each time we think about past we are taking the time from the present moment and we are forcing ourselves re-live it and feel the pain of it.
A big part of healing is being able to live more fully in the moment, rather than from the memories of the past.
Birthday Reflections (Part 5)
Everyone has creative life force within them. Some are using it to their detriment by overthinking, stressing, self-judging, and controlling, while others are using it to their advantage by problem solving, creating, connecting, engaging, and taking action.
Why Working on Yourself Isn't Working!
YouMaybe you feel stuck in a cycle of “working on yourself” but never feeling quite content and peaceful. Maybe you’re stuck in a never ending search for that next thing. A better mentor, more knowledge, or a tool that will finally help you shift into a different version of yourself.
BirthdayReflections (Part 4)
Everyone has creative life force within them. Some are using it to their detriment by overthinking, stressing, self-judging, and controlling, while others are using it to their advantage by problem solving, creating, connecting, engaging, and taking action.

Birthday Reflections (Part 2)
Everyone has creative life force within them. Some are using it to their detriment by overthinking, stressing, self-judging, and controlling, while others are using it to their advantage by problem solving, creating, connecting, engaging, and taking action.
Daily Reminder
Always treat yourself in the same way you’re asking others to treat you. If you want others to behave a certain way towards you, be honest with yourself first:
Birthday Reflections (Part 1)
In honor of my 37th birthday (and totally inspired by Kevin Kelly’s unsolicited advice he offered on his birthday), I decided to share 37 pieces of insights, practical wisdom, and reflections that I (do my best to) live by or that helped me sometimes throughout my life.
Daily Reminder
A big part of personal development and growth is recognizing and letting go of the beliefs that no longer support us.
Prioritizing Yourself
There’s nothing noble about diminishing yourself to support others. You can’t help someone from a place of lack and resentment.
Stop Chasing Happiness
We are not supposed to be happy all the time. Happiness is just one part of the human experience. So are sadness, disappointment, anger, discomfort, etc.
Everything is Temporary
Remembering that nothing lasts forever helps during tribulations because you know there’s an end to it and it helps during triumphs so you can let yourself soak it in fully while it lasts.
On Progress & Growth
Not every progress will feel life-changing, but over time, it will change your life. Moving from self-judgment towards self-love can look differently for different people. It often starts with more acceptance and creating small shifts.
Receiving Abundance
We receive what we feel worthy of receiving.
If our whole life was based on a premise that we can receive only what we work hard for, we will resist abundance in other forms.
Future Self
The Future Self concept was life changing for me, way before I even knew there was a name for it.
During the darkest times in my life, in my mind’s eye, I could clearly see a version of myself that was very different. That vision kept me going, striving, and not settling. Now I know that I was guided by my Future Self.
True Self vs Conditioned Self
In moments of clarity, presence, and empowerment, we remember that we want more for ourselves. We don’t force this, it arises naturally. In those moments, we feel connected to a deep self-determination and desire to move forward. We become free from the limitations of our past, even if just for a moment.
Daily Reminder
If you believe others have that power, then you are the one limiting your choices. No one has the power to stop you from creating the life you want. No one can stop you but yourself. When you defeat yourself because of what others might think, it is not them, but you who is stopping you. It is you who is making other people’s opinions a priority over your own.
On Skipping Life Lessons
If you’re forcing and pressuring, instead of being in the flow and ease, maybe it’s not meant to happen at this time or in the way you imagined it happening.
